Turnberry Bank is a federal savings bank with its headquarters in Aventura, Florida. Founded in 1984, Turnberry Bank opened its first office in the Aventura Mall with the goal of becoming Aventura’s community bank. It wasn’t long before that goal was reached, as Turnberry Bank was and continues to be the only community bank headquartered in Aventura.
As the community grew, so did Turnberry Bank, and in 1997, it moved to a new, three-story office building just a few blocks north of the mall—the “Turnberry Bank Building.” Since then, Turnberry Bank has continued to grow, as did its customer base, which prompted the opening branch offices in Coral Gables, Pinecrest, and South Miami. With branch office locations strategically positioned, Turnberry Bank has shifted its goal to becoming South Florida’s community bank.
